Industry and manufacturing

Warehouses, production areas and storage: large surfaces, stubborn dirt and machines that must withstand forklift traffic.

In a warehouse the problem is not delicacy, it is scale and resistance. Thousands of square metres, concrete or resin floors marked by forklift traffic, process residues a normal detergent will not dissolve. Here you need ride-on or large walk-behind scrubber-dryers, sweepers for dust and coarse material, industrial vacuums for swarf and liquids, hot-water pressure washers to degrease production areas. For plant and production machinery we also offer dry ice cleaning, which cleans without water and without stopping the line to dry, and fixed high-pressure systems where washing is a daily, scheduled operation.

Sector challenges

  • Very large surfaces to clean in a short time
  • Concrete or resin floors marked by forklifts
  • Process residues, oils and fine dust
  • Cleaning plant without stopping production
  • Safe extraction of swarf and liquids

Frequently asked questions

Which scrubber-dryer do I need for a warehouse?

It depends on the square metres and the obstacles. Below 2,000 m² of open floor a large walk-behind is enough; above that, especially with clear floors, a ride-on does the same job in far less time. But with dense racking and narrow aisles a large machine will not fit and works worse. We come and look at the warehouse before advising: it is the fastest way to avoid buying the wrong thing.

Can machinery be cleaned without water and without stopping the line?

That is exactly what dry ice cleaning does: pellets hit the dirt and sublimate, leaving no liquid residue to dry and no spent media to dispose of. It is used on moulds, electrical panels, food plant and anywhere water is a problem.

Do I need hot water or is cold enough?

On greasy, oily dirt hot water does in minutes what cold water will not do in half an hour, and uses less detergent. On dust and mud cold water is enough. In production areas hot is almost always the right choice.
